During the summer, the kids spend Friday at their Dad’s. It gives me an extra break. The rest of the year we use Friday for activities, a day out, dvd documentaries, etc.
It’s a very relaxed day.
On Friday’s here, I’d like to share my nature journal and process of making pages.
This week, I got out the deer skull I brought home to sketch last April and finally got around to it.
I begin with a contour sketch in permanent pen. I don’t use pencil, so that I need to be brave, and satisfied with mistakes.
Then I used watercolor for shadow
Then I added color with watercolor and oil pastel
Final touches and journaling (covered the pastel in mod podge to keep it from smearing)
